Added a few suggestions and possible survey tools. Did not come up with any new questions, just ways to restructure the existing ones

This is just to get us started -- I think we need to get info on how this is set up from the interviews

Alumni Survey

I drafted a few questions target to alumni, in order to learn what influenced their decision to do the FSU IS program, and also learn some of their feelings about the program as a whole. I figure the fewer questions we include, the more likely they'll be to complete it. Hopefully this will provide us with some useful information for future recruiting/marketing activities. (AJ)

Alisa, I really liked the survey you created. I agree with you that short and sweet is the best way to go. I remember in one of my classes we went over most effective surveys and they shouldn't be longer than 8-10 questions. I made some suggestions on your survey. They are just suggestions but I think they would make the survey that much better. Great work Alisa. Thank you. :-) (LB)

Just added my thoughts to what was already suggested and a few suggestions of my one. Nice work Alisa!

Process Map

I started out with the intention of writing a process map, but that is not what happened. :)
Look in the notes, there are a couple of sites about how to successfully recruit master's students. I'm trying to capture all the stuff other ppl do, then I'll try to map a process.

Gina, I think this is a fantastic approach! (LB)

First couple of questions based on a scale, with open-ended questions following
I realize that I have titled this the Survey for IS Department Faculty when it should actually be the IS Program Faculty..

Hi Kendall, good work on this survey. The faculty is a really important piece here. I think they hold very valuable info that will help us with our project. I made a few suggestions on your survey. Let me know if you agree or not. They are just suggestions. :-) (LB)

Added my explanations to Laura's questions.

Hi Kendall! I read over your explanations and they make sense. Maybe it's just a matter of tweaking some of the questions a bit. :-) (LB)

Survey - Current Students

My focus with this survey was on the experience of the current student in the program. I included some demographics questions so that we could potentially provide the client with a plan that is inclusive of all if not most demographic segments. (LB)
Laura, nice work with the survey. Yours looks polished and ready to send out! I don' t have many suggestions, except adding a comment section after the rating scale of the overall program, faculty, and administrative staff. There are a lot of people and factors involved and maybe we can give the participants some space to explain their answers if they wish. KS

Kendall, excellent suggestion. I will add the "explanation" piece to the survey. Thank you! (LB)

Current students survey

I like the first half of this survey, but I think the bottom half may go a bit off topic. Do we care what they think about the program, or are we more interested in how they found out about the program and what made them decide to attend?(GM)

Gina, thank you for the feedback. I totally understand why it would seem off-topic to ask about their current experience with the program. However, they are already in the program so obviously recruitment is not an issue with them. My rationale on asking those questions on the latter half of the survey is an attempt to link what works with the program with the recruiting efforts. In other words, think about when marketers use testimonials from people who enjoy using a particular product in order to convince prospective customers to use their product too. Recruitment efforts are really just a big marketing campaign. This is where I tend to inject my 13 years of Marketing experience into the mix :-). I think this approach may be a good one to consider but I completely understand if we as a team feel that the questions would not help our efforts. With that said, I think you make an excellent point about including questions about how they found out about the program. I'll incorporate that into my survey. I can certainly redirect the survey back to the actual recruiting experience current students went through. Any thoughts team? (LB)

Changes made per our conversation during team meeting- I just made changes, but did not polish it.

Made changes as discussed during team call. Only change remaining is to question 1, depending upon the time frame Lea Ann gets from Mary Kate as to when recruiting became an issue. No formatting done as this will soon go into Survey Monkey.

Again, made changes per our discussion on Wednesday. Hope this isn't too jumbled (I still can't figure out these dumb tables!)

I fixed the formatting on the tables... I know it's not that important to do but it will make it easier for incorporating into the main document. The content is good though Alisa, Thanks!! (LB)
